Dry, tasted rancid, will not buy again

It must have been from a very old batch. The oil was well separated which was to be expected. BUT in this case, the separation was quite severe, that the chocolate hazelnut part was suuuper dry and stuck to the bottom. It took me some time to loosen it. Upon tasting, it was rancid and the mouth-feel was not good, not good at all. I threw the whole jar away after tasting less than half teaspoon.
